Why… eczema? (A pain in the @ss)?
I’ve had it for about 5 years.
Everytime i try to treat it with cream like Hydrocortisone or Diprobase (or any cream), it makes the itching worse. Recently, i put hydrocortisone on my hand where the skin was broken open, and the ‘chap’ opened to three times the size (it wasn’t a chap anymore… more like a crater.) I have it on the back of my knees, the folds of my elbows, on my hands, and around my eyes.
No doctor will take me seriously about the fact these creams make everything worse. They think everything is a miracle cure.
I now have eczema spreading on my face. I can feel it on my cheeks.
I wake at night with blood under my finger nails from scratching.
Is there anything i can do?
(Bearing in mind that i am asthmatic, allergic to nearly everything and i have heard all of the stuff about bleach helping eczema, but i can’t touch the stuff because it brings me out in a rash.)

Hi, you can try one of the natural treatments available on the Internet (just google "natural treatment of eczema") – some of them do work. For my eczema I use herbal cream by Champori quite successfully. It takes just a couple of weeks to clear the spots and then they stay clear for months on end.
Try it: Champori comes with money back guarantee so if it doesn’t work – it’s free.
Fumi
i don’t know what to do about this, but maybe it could be your diet. i know that your diet can affect your skin a lot and cause you to break out a lot more if you’re eating a lot of sweet/fatty foods. or anything that could trigger your skin acting up
Have you been tested for food allergies, or tried controlling your eczema through a balanced and ‘whole food’ diet? I’ve heard a number of people having good success with removing processed foods and increasing their overall nutrition they get through their diet (more fruits and vegetables, less processed foods). Wheat gluten and lactose are two things that may be causing the problems.
Try googling "eczema diet" to see if there are any particular tips on what to try.
The main cause of eczema is overreaction of the immune system. Identifying certain foods, chemicals, etc can be very helpful in battling this disease. I try to avoid soy and milk products which trigger my flare-ups.
After using number of prescription drugs I’ve turned to the natural treatments.
Now I use herbal remedies from serenaskin.com, which aim at the root of the disease – the immune system, and are steroid-free.
After about 2 weeks of using ointment and spray my skin has been cleared up and now I just continue with anti-eczema extract, which controls the immune system. My skin has been clear for months now.
It is the only treatment I have found that provides me complete relief when I use it as directed.
