What to do for toddlers itchy, itchy, itchy skin?
My 20 month old son has eczema and food allergies. He is constantly itchy and scratching his skin 24 hours a day. This is no exaggeration, he even scratches in his sleep. I have to put socks on his hands. My problem is they don’t make one single over the counter itch cream for children under 2 years of age. Was wondering if anyone knew of anything, and I mean anything that I can give him to relieve some of his discomfort. Any home remedies? Please help I am desperate!!! Please ask your parents and grandparents, even any old chinese ladies you might know if they have any old family remedies. Thank you!

My son is 18 months and he is constantly itchy as well. He has red spots all over and can’t stop crying because of the itch. We went to the doctor and have a prescription ointment. It helps sometimes but it makes his skin very dry. We bathe him in lukewarm water with Aveeno Baby Oatmeal power for 10 min and lather him with Vaseline immediately after. I heard Aquaphor is good as well. I just eliminate milk last week but does not seem to help. He drinks soy milk now but he started to itch again two days ago. I will try to eliminate wheat and glutten. I hope this helps.
Change his diet. Remove all processed grains and provide more raw food that contains omega 3 oils.
Vegetable-based (rather than petroleum) products like Sorbolene are also useful.
I would take him to the doctor and ask for help.
