Stop the Itching
Inflammation to the skin is typically a form of Eczema, also called dermatitis. This type of disease, usually said to be inherited and most occurs in girls. There is no exact cause for eczema but skin losing its function to act as a barrier and abnormal function of the immune system has been said to add factors to this condition.
Eczema can cause red, dry, burning sensations throughout your body where the skin has been affected. Usually the sensations will cause one itch. Winter can be some of the hardest times on the skin when there is less moisture in the air in homes where the heater is on and we spend most of our time.
There is no exact cause for one getting this condition on their skin other than the skin just lacks moisture and or something has irritated the skin and it’s reacting and showing you signs that the skin is irritated.
Some of those irritations could come from perfumes, soaps, food allergies, and some jewelry can have a negative effect on the skin.
Stasis dermatitis affects the lower part of the legs and is related to circulatory illness. This is a common skin condition to the elderly and disabled since they have less movement. There is also Contact eczema where areas of the skin will flare up with in contact with certain allergens such as detergents, cosmetics, soaps, and chemicals.
Another form of a skin irritation is called seborrheic dermatitis which shows up as an oily, yellow patch on the skin…babies have this allot on their scalp, and anyone who does not shampoo their hair regularly.
Although you might know the symptoms and think lotion will do the trick however perfumes in lotion may be one of the causes. When this skin condition occurs it is best to be diagnosed with a thorough physical examination. Then the physician can prescribe the right topical medications to clear up the skin and clear up any itching.
Your best preventative measure against eczema is to avoid products with heavy perfumes, stay away from washing your clothes with a perfumed detergent, use mild soaps, and around allergy season use over the counter medications to help you avoid further aggravating any previous symptoms.
You can receive many valuable benefits to which you are entitled through a broad range of government and community assistance programs.
