Serious scalp eczema question pleaseee?

I have really bad scalp eczema. Right now im using tea tree oil shampoo and it does relax the patches a little and makes the flaking not so obvious, but my scalp is still extremely greasy.. to the point where I take a shower and the next morning my hair is disgustingly greasy, almost wet looking.

Can anyone give me some tips or help me dry it out? Home remedies would be super nice! :) thanks.

Try some tar shampoo. The tea trea oil will make your hair greasy. Sunshine and not wearing a hat or hood helps the eczema. Ask the pharmacist what they would recommend–sometimes they come up with some miraculous cures that the doctor doesn’t think of. Do a websearch for eczema and learn more about it and what it is and what people treat it with.

I have eczema too, well might not be but doctors say that’s probably what it is, so kinda sucks can’t treat it, now on to your problem, i used have really bad greasy hair, so i changed my routine to showering in the morning, but that did not help the grease factor so a doctor said to switch my shampoo, because he said it was to rich, so i get to buy cheaper shampoo and look better.

really fast. I hope this helps you.

I had bad scalp eczema when I was young. It was embarrasing for me because my hair was greesy too. Listen, take a shower in the morning and one at night. Keep using the shampoo to alleviate the stress. Try using Head and Shoulder too if you can it sort of dryes out the scalp meaning less flakes if you have em.

In addition.. this is what I did when I had it. I poured 7-up in my head everyday, leave it there for 10-15 minutes, then take a shower. It fizzus up on the patches and after I take a shower it still sort of stings, but a GOOD way. It saved me actually. Also if you have Paroxide and put it in the patches by using cotton it would also help

Take quick showers– no hot water on your scalp

Try it my way and inform me how you’re doing okay? I want to see you good and healthy. Hope this helps <3 As ridiculous as it sounds– it works for me, I think it should work for you too

I get psoriasis on my scalp. My dermatologist suggested I do the following and it really does help. Different shampoos have different ingredients to help alleviate itchiness and dryness. So he told me to alternate between these three….Head and Shoulders, Neutragena Tar Shampoo (T-Gel), and Nizoral (the nizoral is over the counter and has 1% of the active ingredient where as the prescription one has 2% and it really makes a difference. The over the counter one works well but if you can get prescription-works better. It’s not that expensive and well worth it). So alternate those for a week or as long as you need to until it clears up, and then go back to whatever normal shampoo you prefer-when you feel a flare up, start back on the others. Just an FYI, certain shampoos irritate my scalp like John Frieda for Blondes for example–so be aware of that happening to you.
Another thing I do that is totally awesome is 1/2 cup of organic apple cider vinegar which you can buy at healthfood stores and some grocery stores. In the shower after shampooing, take 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar (ACV) and 1/2 cup warm water. Pour all over your head make sure you get it real good on your scalp. It stinks really, really bad but don’t worry it won’t stay that way after it dries…it airs out with time. Anyway leave it on your scalp for as long as you possible can 5, 10, 15, 30 min. Rinse and condition your hair as usual. Not only will your scalp feel better, but your hair will be condtioned really well, balance it out (as far as ph goes), and your hair will just amazingly style better.
I accidentally gave Omega a thumbs down….so sorry did not mean to do that.
OMG I apparently gave the girl below me a thumbs down also. I don’t know how this is happening, because I did not mean to do that!!!!

I was using herbal remedies from serenaskin.com for my eczema and it works great for me. You can not treat this disease only by applying creams, it needs to be treated from inside out. Serenaskin has anti-eczema extract that keep the immune system balanced, so it won’t trigger the flare-ups. I take this extract twice a year as advised and it controls my eczema very well.
