My niece is having eczema since her childhood. What is the best creme/medicine to treat eczema?

Question by Sam S: My niece is having eczema since her childhood. What is the best creme/medicine to treat eczema?
My niece is having a really bad case of eczema since she’s a little kid. She’s 17 now and she still has it. She’s asking me what is the best creme or medicine to cure her eczema. I feel really bad for not able to answer her that. She went 2 doctors and they prescribed for her some anti-itching creme. However, after using the prescribed creme from the doctors, her skin has lot of white spots. So she’s afraid of using it. She have been using ucerine creme lotion, but it only helps a little bit. If you know any creme to prevent the itching and the flare-up of the skin, please let us know. Thank you.

    4. Noxema the original (not the newer fancier versions) works great too! Apply Noxzema to the infected area twice a day. It helps with the discoloration that can sometimes left by eczema. Keep using it until eczema is gone. Usually within 2 weeks.

    5. Drink tomato juice daily, it will cure the symptoms in a few days. But I don’t think she’ll like it!

    6. Avoid foods with dairy! Dairy products, eggs, nuts, preservatives and citrus fruits are more likely to trigger eczema.

    7. Ask her to get warm oatmeal baths (once/twice a day to stops itchness) mixed with almond oil & castor oil. They do help with the itching a LOT!!

    Here’s how:
You’ll need a blender, food processor or coffee grinder and 1 cup of oatmeal. You can use instant oatmeal (unflavored), quick oats or slow cooking oats- all work equally as well.

Blend or process the oats on the highest setting until you have a very fine, consistent powder. To test the colloid property of the oats, stir 1 tablespoon oats into a glass of warm water. If the oats readily absorb the water and give it a milky look and a silky feel, you’ve blended long enough.

    Giving the bath:
Sprinkle the oats into a tub of running water and stir the water with your hand several times to ensure even distribution. Add 3-5 tablespoons of castor & almond oil each.

Feel along the bottom of the tub for clumps and break up any you find.

Get into the tub carefully as the oats & oils will make the tub even more slippery than usual. Allow yourself to soak in the tub for 15-20 minutes and pat dry with a soft towel rather than rubbing.
You can use this bath once or twice a day.

    8. Oatmeal facial!!! Adding honey to oatmeal is perfect for cleansing the face and hands or anywhere on the body where you have an eczema flare. As honey is also anti-bacterial, it is doubly beneficial. Simply mix equal parts honey and oatmeal and apply. You can rinse off immediately, or lie back and relax for half an hour and let it work its magic.

Oatmeal mixed with egg whites is an excellent exfoliating masque. Mix them together, smooth onto the face and rinse off only after the egg whites have thoroughly dried. The oatmeal provides the soothing eczema treatment and the egg whites leave the skin soft and smooth.

    GOOD LUCK!!

    Dear Sam

I’m also a victim of eczema, though mine may not be as serious as your niece’s condition. I have been taking a product called imu6. It is a colostrum. When I consume it, my eczema does not surface. I’m not sure if imu6 will totally cure eczema because when I stopped consuming it for about a month, my eczema did resurface but alot milder. Nonetheless, I would think that it’s worth a try. Besides, there are no side effects. Do drop me a message if you’d like to find out more.
