Molescum
Moloscom is most often known as molluscum contagiosum or just moloscom. It is a virus that affects the skin and a rather large number of people are affected.
Moloscom is rather easily passed on from one person to another.
It is a very contagious disease and that is what gives Molescum the second part of its technical name: molluscum contagiosum.

Things like using another’s towel or skin on skin contact and of course, sexual contact, are all ways that molescum spreads among people.
Children, especially, are prone to contracting moloscom. Molluscum contagiosum in children is very common. However, adults are very likely to get this virus as well.

It manifests itself in molluscum warts which, depending on where they are and how many of them there are, can be quite unsightly. In time, the body does kick moloscom out but this can take more than a year!
Most people just don’t have the patience or time to wait out an entire year with an unsightly, contagious, viral skin condition. Not to mention the damage it can do to one’s self esteem and that it can spread to others!
Thankfully there are many options for molluscum contagiosum treatment such as mechanical removal of the molluscum warts with a scalpel or currette (a scalpel-like instrument).
Other treatment options vary between topical creams, freezing the warts off and even using the fluid from a particular beetle species to eliminate the virus!
In the case of one or two isolated pimples, it’s easy enough to carefully, and in a sterile fashion, remove the pimples, making sure that the entire waxy ball (the virus) is taken out and the area is treated with antiseptic.
The goal is to get the waxy center of the pimple out from under the pimple shell because that is where the virus is contained.
The mollescum virus is indeed an obnoxious problem to have, but it is easily treatable and there is no reason anybody should have to live with it for a long time.
Moloscom is a pain in the butt to have to treat but since it’s so easily treatable there is every reason to go ahead and do so!
