i have really bad eczema .?
its on both of my arms and behind my legs.
the worst of it is on both of my arms, it’s really sore and then it’ll stop itching for a while, then it’ll start itching again and its worse then the last time.
the doctor gave me some betnovate cream for it, and it makes it itch even more. so i’ll eventually give in and scratch.
any home remedies?
and nobody say it might be bed bugs or something because the doctors diagnosed it as eczema.

some useful tips:
wash your bed sheets once a week ( microscopic dust mites/dirt /bacteria )
let your room air daily
Vacuum/damp dust often
use a lotion with oatmeal, such as aveeno skin relief (moisturising is extremely important)
bath in oatmeal
Never use hot water to wash! (its the worst thing)
Use a sensitive soap powder and only a little comfort
go through your diet and take note of what you eat, then when it starts to itch you can pin point the foods…. things to avoid is too much salt , don’t add salt to your food, avoid crisps etc.
get fresh air daily!
eat fruit and veg and drink water
try to mainly wear cotton
use an unfragranced baby shampoo and no soap or shower gel.
steroids will make it itch… some more than others, i would go back to the doc for a different one, its just finding one that works for you . There is Eumovate (mild) and dermovate (strong) steroid ointments which are effective – these don’t contain antibiotic though, but if you use them to start with you shouldn’t need the antibiotic ones. Betnovate is an antibiotic steroid cream, so your skin must have been infected! Fucibet is another antibiotic steroid cream. Its important to tackle the flare up once it starts or it gets worse and starts to spread over your body. Wrapping tinfoil on on your skin and leaving it helps the steroid to absorb in.
try aveeno, cause me and my brother both have really bad eczema and its cleared up cause of aveeno
I used Triamcinolone, and it helped to get rid of my eczema.
Have the doctors told you what might be causing it? My doctors figured out that it was mainly chlorine and nickel [jean buttons, belt buckles..etc].
I found that all of the drug store remedies didn’t work for me. You might be able to call your doctor and aski f he can prescribe something else for you if he’s seen your eczema before.
also, instead of scratching, blow lightly on it, and it sort of relieves the itch.
hey
i have quite bad eczema and it took m forever to get it under control. honestly, if you treat it know, it will stop it from spreading on yourself. i no its not contagious, but i only had it on my arms. next things you know all over my face. so i used Oilatum. get it from Doctors. its really good. benovate cream is good but its a steroid cream. i have it but it makes you skin go proper thin if you use to much. best thing is put it on before bed. another thing, cut your nail as far back a possible. dirt is in your nails all the time, and it will infect it. now don’t use strong shower gels on your arm. everywhere else is pretty much okay. also wear cotton stuff, clean bed sheets regularly and if you at home, wear short sleeved stuff and shorts so it can get air. don’t have to hot showers either.
also, the biggest trigger of eczema is stress. so, i don’t know how old you are, but if you go school, work, etc. you need to chill because it will only make it worst
i no this is a lot but it should work =D xx
I’ve got Psoriasis, to an extent a more severe form of eczema and E45 cream tends to do the job. Also, depending on where you are, try to spend some time in the sun. You probably won’t need UV treatment, but it sure helps!
Natural treatment is the best for me. I cleared my eczema in a few days with serenaskin eczema herbal remedies. It is the best treatment among many I’ve tried.
