How do I treat baby eczema?

My 9 month old son has sever allergies, and he has eczema around his mouth (and behind his legs). We have tried everything from a steroid cream (which we don’t like to use) and an allergist recommended fragrance free lotion. We have also thoroughly cleaned the house to remove as many allergens as possible-in addition to using allergy friendly soap and laundry detergent. Does anyone know how to help his eczema go down around his mouth? We have tried everything?!?
FYI- We have used Aveeno, Eucerin, VaniCream, and just about all of the other lotions. We also have used hydrocortisone, and are now using prescription strength desonide (which again we do not like and we try to limit the use of it).
I think it was just regular sensitive skin Aveeno- I will try your suggestion. Anything is worht a shot. Sometimes it will subside for a few minutes, but it always seems to get worse throughout the day.

Another great product is "FreeDerm HC" You can only get it online. My boys have serious eczema. My 6yr old has had it since infancy. And now my twins have it.

Researching online I found this product. I ordered it.. and within 4 days, the breakout was gone. In between flare-ups, I keep them moisturized. We use Aveeno Baby Lotion, fragrance free of course. Always apply moisturizer within 3 minutes after a bath.

Try and stay with 100% cotton clothes and bed linens. For baths we use Baby Eczema Wash by Gentle Naturals. Also the FreeDerm company has a great soap we use too.

Here is the website. http://www.freederm.com If you take before and after photos and send them to them, you’ll get a free jar of their eczema cream. I did. Here are my photos:

    hope this helps.
edit to add.. I’ve been using FreeDerm HC for almost 5 years now. It’s a great product and IT WORKS!!

Call the pediatrician and ask him. He/She may prescribe a cream.

Aveeno Baby, Eczema Skincare Moisturizing cream!

My son has eczema on his arms, legs, shoulders and belly. I applied this cream and after 2 days his skin was smooth as silk. I couldn’t believe it. I just bought it from Walmart…it was pricey, about $9 here in Canada.
I don’t use it every day…every 2 or 3 days, and his skin is staying smooth. I am recommending this cream to anyone who mentions Eczema! It is worth a shot!
Edit: Hmm I see now that you have tried the Aveeno…was it the Eczema stuff or just normal Aveeno creams?

Hi I’ve had excema for all my life and as a baby my mom used lubriderm on me. It works pretty good. And also maybe try some petroleum jelly or aquaphor around his mouth. Also ive been trying this new treatment lately of using emu oil on my facial skin. Its a little messy but it works great for me. I think it would be fine to use on your son but you may want to check that out.
