Dry/Red Skin Around My Lips?

For about a month and a half, maybe more, I have been getting this red ring-like thing around my lips. It started after I walked home from school one day in really cold & windy weather. The next day, I was in school and the area around my lips got really itchy. I didn’t think anything of it until the red ring & flaky skin appeared. Then I just thought it was from the wind, like a wind rash or whatever. Or from the dryness of the winter air. It started to get better, and I thought it was finally going away just about a week ago, until I had to walk home again during really cold & windy weather. I think it starts to get dry skin over it because it starts to heal (maybe like a scab? when the skin forms it’s also itchy and the areas start to ‘crack’) but the flaky skin is really unattractive so I put lotion and then Chapstick on it and those just make it so I have a red ring now and no flaky skin, which really isn’t any better. I would just leave it and not put the lotion or chapstick on it so maybe it would heal, but being in highschool it’d be a very bad idea with the way kids make fun of each other nowadays. I was looking these symptoms up, and some pointed to eczema, but I don’t know how I could randomly get eczema from being in cold and windy weather. I walked home in the same type of conditions almost every day in the wintertime last year, AND I snowboard. It just doesn’t make sense. So, if anyone has ANY type of advice or remedies, I would be very much grateful. If nothing works and it doesn’t go away once it gets warmer out, I am definitely going to tell my mom to take me to the doctor. It’s just so annoying and unsightly. Thanks to anyone who helps!

I get that too! Put Aquaphor (or vaseline) on it every night before you go to bed, and it should go away. I also get it around my eyes, and it helps there too.
