Dry Flaky skin that doesn't itch?

I have small dry patches of skin along my upper arms and occasionally my face. They don’t itch. The doctor told me it’s eczema but I really don’t think it is. Any clue what I have, and how to treat it?

Eczema. For some people it itches… for others it’s just annoying dry patches. The best way to treat eczema is to use lotion, every day. If after a week or so, it doesn’t improve any, then let your dr know. Or see a dermatologist.

Every time I use a harsh chemical to cleanse my face, it always seems to dry out and peel. Try to rub the excess skin off then use a good brand of lotion afterwards.

LOL, You don’t trust a doctor, but you’ll trust 15 year olds here!

If you can’t trust your doctor, that is not good.

If your doctor examined this and says it looks like eczema, it likely is. Try using a lotion for that and see if you get improvement. My daughter did and she got relief in this in only a few days later then. She got dermarest for eczema at a walgreens.
