Does eczema go away by itself? And treatment ideas?

I am 14 years old and I am experiencing the WORST breakout of eczema ever.

It started around the end of last year when I noticed my knee itched a lot. I must have been scratching it at night because the next few days it became horrible. And it’s really annoying because it oozes some sort of sticky yellow fluid that takes a really long time to dry. It spread all over my body to the point that my legs and arms are completely covered in rashes.

I saw a doctor and he prescribed me with hydrocortizone. I used it as directed but the rash still persisted. My parents are buying all sorts of cream for me but none of them seem to work.

My question is: Does this go away by itself? None of these treatments seem to be working for me! It is horribly distracting and I’m having trouble in school because I can’t go two minutes without thinking about the rash, how much it itches, and keeping myself from scratching because I don’t want to spill that yellow ooze all over my clothes. Please, help!

Be sure not to touch anything dirty like rugs and stuff like that because this could flare up and do NOT scratch it, because it may worsen and may take long fo royu to recover.

    Take care :)

It should go away. Just give it time and avoid touching other people. Well I guess only avoid touching people you like.

The main cause of eczema is overreaction of the immune system. Identifying certain foods, chemicals, etc can be very helpful in battling this disease. I try to avoid soy and milk products which trigger my flare-ups.
After using number of prescription drugs I’ve turned to the natural treatments.
Now I use serenaskin herbal remedies , which aim at the root of the disease – the immune system, and are steroid-free.
After about 2 weeks of using ointment and spray my skin has been cleared up and now I just continue with eczema extract, which controls the immune system. My skin has been clear for months now.
It is the only treatment I have found that provides me complete relief when I use it as directed.

Eczema does not go away, but it will calm down to nearly invisible. You’ve got to figure out what irritates the eczema. The rock star Simply Red had it, and he stopped eating red meat and felt there was a big difference in the eczema. Dish detergent, sodium laurel stuff in shampoos, and non-glycerine hand soap will irritate it. Also, laundry detergent will irritate the eczema (use Arm & Hammer laundry detergent wtih baking soda or Dreft baby detergent). Once irritated the eczema gets worse. Good luck with changes in your lifestyle and environment.
