I had eczema for a while now..Mine used to be really bad..I had it in my neck, legs and especially in my hands. But I managed to keep mine under control. I found that using Palmer’s Cocoa Butter lotion is perfect for eczema. Also when you shower don’t shower with hot water..try putting it warm and use dove soap. I noticed that whenever I used another soap my skin got really dry and itchy whenever i came out of the shower. Once you do that as soon as you dry yourself put lotion all over your body and use enough. Drink plenty of water to keep hydrated. This also helps a lot. If your gonna wash any dishes or clean the house put gloves on cause if not it could irritate your hands. Hope this helps..it does for me.
Oh yeah another thing..Whenever you do get itchy..a lot of people put there hands in hot water to stop the itch..don’t do that and don’t scratch..use a towel and try scratching it like that. It doesn’t inflame that way..believe it helps..Then put lotion afterwards. Or you can also try cortizone10 cream..you can buy that at any pharmacy, rite-aid, walmart, target…etc. its not expensive.
I just recently got it on my leg, and the dermatologist gave me special cream for it and it slightly went away. To my knowledge there is no special home cure for it
You get eczema in alot of places. Your case may even be considered moderate. You really need to go to a doctor. Topical steroids are the only thing to treat eczema. Advanced medical research hasn’t even yielded a cure…do you really believe there will be a cure in your pantry?
you should probably go to your doctor and ask him/her to prescribe something for your eczema.
on a side note, I am very similar to you: i had eczema on my arms and legs since I was quite young, but grew out of it 3 years ago. Just recently, I’ve had a mild outbreak of it and the cream I had from 3 years ago for eczema still worked! just thought i’d share that
Yeah, there might be an infection under it so you might need antibiotics. But in the meantime, get hydro-cortisone over the counter cream as strong as you can find it then get cream metronidazole or other drug like that from the jock itch/ athlete’s foot area… mix the hydrocortisone like a little glob on your finger with a glob on your other finger with the metronidazole. It’s not a home cure – but if you can’t go to the doctor, they would prescribe something like this for you anyway. There are herbal remedies too, but I don’t know for sure right now if they work. My thing works…. an antibiotics if it’s infected.
Precaution is always better then the cure. I hope the below link will surely help u

Eczema
1.It does not result from food allergy. (Food only causes allergy, it does not cause eczema. It is the genes of a person that cause eczema)
2.It is not infectious to other people, although it sometimes becomes secondarily infected by bacteria.
Some remedies :
1.Coconut oil can be applied to the portions with eczema. It helps the skin to remain soft. This is a good eczema remedy. Make a fine paste of 1 tsp camphor and 1-teaspoon sandalwood. Apply this paste on the affected eczema areas. This is very good and simple home remedy for eczema. ( this works great !)
2.Papaya seeds mashed and applied on areas prevent itching of the skin suffering from eczema
3.Hydrate the skin. Take short lukewarm bath or shower before applying good quality moisturizer daily.
4.Wear loose clothing such as cotton.
5. apply lemon juice before going to bed ( promotes healing )
Avoid : dairy products
dangerous stearoids ( definitely not a cure )
Exposure to water for a long time ( lead to dryness )
hot baths
over drying cleansers when bathing

If you have been diagnosed with eczema, the doctor will tell you what type of eczema it is and will brief you with the suitable treatment plan. This plan is based on the type and severity of the eczema, and your medical history, among other factors. In general, the medications that the doctor will prescribe aims to reduce itching, lessen skin inflammation, remove and decrease lesions, and clear up infections, if any.
