Does anyone has eczema at the both side of their lip? (PICTURE INCLUDED)?

Pic: http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j309/samandai/Yahoo%20Answers/EczemaSideLips.jpg (I used my mobile to take this so the redness is not very obvious, but as you can see my skin tone is kinda tinted because of the long term of steroid cream)

Anyway, If you have this problem, or you know anyone with this problem, can you please tell me will moisturizing alone clear away the redness without using steroid?

If you have time, please read this, only takes 2 minutes, I’m really depressed and feel like dying because of this problem, and I need someone (who has eczema) to share with me their problem and how they deal with it.

I’m 21 and I have been having this problem on and off since I was 16. To cut the story short, I went to many dermatologists and none of them told me it was eczema so they kept prescribing me those low dose steroid cream. Until like when I was 19 I was transferred to a more experience dermatologist, he told me that I have mild eczema and prescribed me Betamethasone 0.0125 (steroid low dose) and some moisturizer, and the Betamethasone seemed like the only thing that could clear away the redness. The final time I visited him I asked him, "If the redness comes back, will moisturizer ALONE clear it?" and he said that moisturizing will prevent from dryness but he could not guarantee if it could clear away the redness without using steroid. I stopped visiting him and went on to find my own cure. I found out the negative parts of steroid and I went cold turkey from steroid for a period of time. I stayed at home for a month and using my aunt’s friend home remedy and it actually took away the redness, that was in December 2008. I thought I was completely cured so I didn’t even bother to use moisturizer anymore, and to be honest I actually hate putting it on my face because I don’t like the oily feeling.

Until August 2009 the redness comes back again, but not as red as last time, it’s an on and off problem till now and RECENTLY the problem is getting worse… :’(

I’ll be meeting the dermatologist next Wednesday and I know he will still prescribe me the same thing and say the same thing like, "There’s no cure for eczema, steroid is the only thing to clear the redness away and moisturizing daily will prevent the redness from coming back".

Am I doomed to depend on steroid and moisturizer for the rest of my life? I know a few people who wash their face with only water, and doesn’t even moisturize their face, and they still maintain clear complexion, why is that so? God, I really envy all these people, and I really hate having eczema on my face. Sometimes I really feel like committing suicide because this problem has be depressing me for so long and it’s affecting my social life and dragging my confidence level down to now 1/10. :(

Thanks for taking time and answering this question in advance.

I used to have this problem when I was a teenager, but it went away completely after I finished puberty. The doctors prescribed a bunch of different moisturizers, and they just felt oily and gross, and make me break out with acne. It got so bad that the sides of my mouth would crack and bleed.

    This is what I learned:
If you use soap, make sure it is really mild, like dove for sensitive skin, unscented. Don’t scrub your face.
    Get some allergy tests done.
Ask your doctor about using tea tree oil or some less harsh remedies.
    Don’t scratch it.
You aren’t alone. It will get better. Is there someone you can talk to about the suicidal thoughts? If you want to chat, send me an email.

Edit: Whoops, sorry, fixed it. You can email me now.
