Hi

Watch out for hydrocortisone cream or HC creams - they are NOT recommended for children under two. The doctor or even nurse is the best place to get advice.

One site I found useful was exederm.com they have a moisturising cream and wash that would be okay for 4 month

Check out the natrual and homeopathic stuff too often they need to have even more preservatives to stop the natural ingredients going off - kinda defeats the purpose

good luck

sounds like newborn rash.... my grandma told me about a home remedy... here in el paso you can buy rosa de castillo (dried rose petals). You boil em, and put the rose water in the babies bath (cooled mind you). Give your baby an oz of it to drinkthoug before you put it in babies bath water. Bathe baby in it once a day for 3 days. helped my daughter tremedously!

Give her baths with Aveeno products. They have the bath soap that you can use. Dry her off and while her skin is damp lotion her up with the Avenno lotion. The key to a baby with Eczema is moisture, moisture, moisture. You can also use any products by Aquaphor or Mustela.Mustela is sold at Babies R Us. I love their products. Whatever you do, please do not use Hydrocortisone!!

stop using any soap or shampoo on her and get an aqueous cream or soap bar and use that to wash her. make sure her skin is well moisturised using the aqueous cream, if it gets really bad try this its a miracle i swear.

My son has eczema patches on his face. What I have found that works is using a thick, non scented lotion on the spots, especially after bathing, or whenever you notice the area to be dry. It hasn't completely resolved but has got a lot better, if I continue to apply the lotion. The doctor told me that it will usually resolve on its own by a year, but continue to use the lotion so it doesn't get out of hand.
